1. Introduction and Acceptance
Welcome to Splitro ("Platform", "Service", "we", "us", or "our"). These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you", or "your") and Splitro, governing your access to and use of the Splitro platform available at https://splitro.com.

By creating an account, accessing, or using any part of our Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, along with our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Service.
2. Definitions
Account
means the user profile created when registering for the Service.
Auto-Pay
means the automated payment feature that allows Supporters to set monthly contribution limits and automatically contribute to Splits when created by Creators.
Auto-Split
means a recurring fundraising goal that is automatically created on a daily, weekly, or monthly schedule as configured by the Creator.
Creator
means a User who creates and manages Groups and Splits to receive contributions from Supporters.
Group
means a community created by a Creator where Supporters can join to contribute to Splits.
Platform Fee
means the fee charged by Splitro on each transaction, calculated on a tiered basis as specified in Section 7.
Payout
means the transfer of funds from a Creator's Stripe Connect account to their designated bank account.
Split
means a specific fundraising goal created by a Creator with a defined target amount.
Stripe
means Stripe, Inc., our third-party payment processor.
Supporter
means a User who joins Groups and makes contributions to Splits.
3. Eligibility and Account Registration
3.1 Age and Capacity
You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Service. By creating an Account, you represent and warrant that:
- You are at least 18 years old
- You have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts
- You are not prohibited from using the Service under applicable laws
- All information you provide is accurate, current, and complete
3.2 Account Creation
- • Provide a valid email address
- • Create a secure password
- • Verify your email address
- • Choose a unique username (4-15 characters)
- • Provide accurate profile information
3.3 Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining credentials and all activities under your account.
- • Maintain confidentiality of password
- • Notify us of unauthorized access
- • Ensure logout after each session
- • Do not share credentials
3.4 Creator Requirements
- • Complete Stripe Connect onboarding
- • Be located in UK, EEA, or US
- • Provide valid bank account for payouts
- • Comply with KYC and AML requirements
Note: Canada, New Zealand, and Australia are not currently supported for Creator accounts.
4. Platform Description and Service
4.1 Platform Overview
Splitro is a community-driven micro-contribution crowdfunding platform. We facilitate:
- • Group management
- • Split & Auto-Split creation
- • Stripe payment processing
- • Milestone tracking
4.2 Platform Role
Splitro acts solely as a technology platform intermediary connecting Creators and Supporters.
We are NOT:
- • A financial institution
- • A payment processor
- • A fundraising guarantor
We are NOT responsible for:
- • Accuracy of Creator statements
- • Use of funds by Creators
- • Delivery of rewards or outcomes
5. User Roles and Responsibilities
5.1 Creator Responsibilities
Account & Compliance
- • Complete Stripe Connect onboarding
- • Maintain accurate bank information
- • Comply with tax reporting requirements
- • Comply with all applicable laws
Content & Conduct
- • Create accurate and truthful descriptions
- • Non-prohibited activities only
- • Use funds for stated purposes
- • Provide products/services in return (if stated)
Platform Usage
- • No circumvention of platform payments
- • No abuse of Auto-Split features
- • Maintain communication with Supporters
5.2 Supporter Responsibilities
Payment & Limits
- • Provide valid payment information
- • Monitor monthly spending limits
- • Report unauthorized transactions (60 days)
- • Select affordable Auto-Pay limits
Understanding of Service
- • Contributions are voluntary donations
- • No goods/services expected in exchange
- • Creator responses not guaranteed
- • No circumvention of platform payments
6. Prohibited Activities
Strictly Prohibited Activities:
Illegal & Fraudulent
- • Money laundering & terrorist financing
- • Sale of illegal goods or services
- • Providing false or misleading info
- • Impersonating persons or entities
Abusive Behavior
- • Harassment, bullying, or threats
- • Hate speech or discrimination
- • Spam & unsolicited communications
Platform Abuse
- • Security circumvention & hacking
- • Bots & automated access tools
- • Multiple accounts for abuse
- • Reverse engineering software
Content & Payments
- • IP rights infringement
- • Sexually explicit or violent content
- • Excessive chargebacks or disputes
- • Non-fundraising payment processing
Violation may result in immediate suspension, termination, forfeiture of funds, and legal action.
7. Payment Terms and Fee Structure
7.1 Payment Processing
Payments are processed via Stripe. By using Splitro, you agree to Stripe's Terms.
Payment Flow
- • Cards stored securely by Stripe
- • Payments processed daily at midnight UTC
- • Settlement within 2-7 business days
7.2 Contribution Limits
- • Min: £1 / $1 / €1 per Split
- • Max: £50 per transaction
- • Monthly: Limit £1 - £10,000
7.5 Auto-Pay System
- • Calculated equal contributions
- • Respects all spending limits
- • Can be disabled at any time
7.3 Platform Fee Structure

Note: Fees are deducted from contribution. Stripe may charge additional processing or conversion fees.
8. Refunds, Cancellations, and Disputes
8.1 No Refund Policy
All payments are final once processed and refunds will not be issued.

- • No obligation for Creator to thank
- • Splitro is solely a facilitator
- • Payments are final upon processing
8.2 Disputes
Report unauthorized transactions within 60 days.

8.3 Chargebacks
Excessive chargebacks may lead to permanent account bans and potential legal action.
9. Automated Features and Processing
Scheduled Operations
Daily (Midnight UTC)
- • Payment collection for active splits
- • Auto-Split creation
- • Milestone notifications
Monthly (1st Day)
Automatic reset of Supporter spending limits.
Hourly
Currency exchange rate updates (Open Exchange Rates API).
Email & Social
- • Automated transactional & security emails
- • Optional X/Twitter milestone integration
- • Automated payout confirmations
10. Intellectual Property Rights
10.1 User Content
You retain ownership of your content but grant Splitro a non-exclusive license to host, display, and process it for service delivery (CDN, milestone images, etc.).
License terminates upon content deletion or account closure.
10.2 Platform Ownership
All Splitro branding, logos, interface design, and proprietary technology are owned by Splitro LTD.
11. Privacy and Data Protection
Your use of Splitro is governed by our Privacy Policy. We implement strict security measures including:

SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE".
- • No guarantee of uninterrupted or error-free service
- • No guarantee of fundraising campaign success
- • No guarantee of Creator legitimacy or outcome delivery
13. Limitation of Liability
Maximum Liability
Total liability shall not exceed the platform fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Exclusion of Damages
Splitro is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or third-party service failures (Stripe, AWS, etc.).
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Splitro and its affiliates from claims arising from your use of the service, violation of Terms, or infringement of third-party rights.
Survives account termination
15. Account Termination
15.1 User-Initiated
Request deletion via support. Profile data is deleted in 30 days, transaction records retained for 7 years.

Immediate termination for violations, fraud, abuse, or prolonged inactivity.
16. Dispute Resolution
Governing Law
Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Exclusive jurisdiction: Courts of England and Wales.
Class Action Waiver
Disputes will be conducted only on an individual basis.
17. Modifications to Terms
We may update Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified at least 30 days in advance via email.
Continued use constitutes acceptance of modified Terms.
18. General Provisions
Entire Agreement
Supersedes all prior agreements.
Severability
Invalid provisions do not affect others.
Force Majeure
Not liable for events beyond control.
Language
English version prevails.

20. Acknowledgment
BY CREATING AN ACCOUNT OR USING THE SERVICE, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT:
- You have read and understood these Terms
- You agree to be bound by these Terms
- You have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement
- You understand that Splitro is a platform intermediary
- You understand that all contributions are voluntary and final
- You understand that Splitro is not a financial institution
- You have read and agree to our Privacy Policy
